This ad appeared (I believe) in 1948 in a number of family magazines such as "Life " and "Look". It certainly featured star power.


I got these autos at the Collectors Showcase of America (CSA) show that's held in Chantilly, VA. (This is a great show that is held three times each year, I think.) The quarterbacks who signed include:
Joe Theismann, who led the Redskins to victory in Super Bowl XVII.
Sonny Jurgensen, who won three NFL passing crowns, the third at the age of 40.
Billy Kilmer, perhaps forever linked with Jurgensen in the "Billy or Sonny" QB controversy under Redskins coach George Allen. He led the Redskins to their first Super Bowl, which they lost to Miami.
Mark Rypien, who led the Skins to victory in Super Bowl XXVI.
Doug Williams, who was Super Bowl MVP in Super Bowl XXII. His performance in that game has been called one of the best ever in Super Bowl history.
