Some more sample pictures from my Braves scrapbook.
In the 1950's black ballplayers were not allowed to stay in the hotels where their white teammates were staying, so they usually stayed with families or in boarding houses.





The Braves very early on saw the talents available among the black players. Here are pictured four of these "Negroes", as they were then called, including future home-run king Hank Aaron.
