Fender Telecaster
I got this beauty a few years ago - a present from my wife, although, of course, I picked it out. I did not go into the music store looking
for a guitar, but this thing caught my eye! I'm unable to take a picture that actually shows how pretty the color on this guitar is. I am
convinced it's the prettiest guitar I've ever seen.
The specs I printed from the internet were dated 11/3/2006, so I assume I got the guitar that year.
It's a Special Edition Custom Telecaster FMT HH (model #0262000561). It's a Black Cherry Burst finish (Polyurethane finish) with black chrome
hardware.
It has two Seymour Duncan humbucking pickups ("Pearly Gates" - bridge, and '59 - neck), selectable with the 3-way toggle (bridge, bridge & neck,
neck).
The body is mahogany with a carved flame maple top. The strings go through the body.
Unlike standard Teles, it doesn't have all that metal on it, nor does it have a pickguard, which leads to some pick scratching on the body.
The sound is terrific - mellow on the neck pickup and twangy on the bridge pickup. The tone pot has a push/pull which gives the out-of-phase tone.
I love this guitar!
